Markus Fuchs
third in World Ranking
(3.2.2026) In the FEI Gandini World Jumping Riders Ranking Markus Fuchs
has
improved from 5th to 3rd place at the end of January. "Actually this is not
the
consequence of good results in January, but from mutations", he admits.
During
the past month he did not gain any points competing in Leipzig and
Amsterdam.
But unlike the other Top Ten riders Markus Fuchs had no points
to lose from
January 2004. Last year the Swiss had an injury break until mid
March and has
zero
points
to defend from that period. At the end of February
Markus Fuchs might therefore
improve further in the ranking.
Markus Fuchs
with Sylver II
(25.1.2026) The grey gelding Sylver II - formerly ridden by Austrian
Rob Raskin
- is now under the saddle of Markus Fuchs. At the CSI Leipzig he presented
the 10 year old Belgian for the first time. Horse and rider are still
in the
process of getting used to each other, their next appearance is planned
at
the CSI in Amsterdam. Sylver II (MV: Cantus) already has several good
results
in Grand Prix and also has experience in World Cup competitions. He is
owned
by Fritz Lamminger (Herisau/Switzerland) and is for sale. Markus Fuchs
is going
to ride Sylver II until a buyer comes along.
Tinkas'
Boy undergoes surgery
(12.1.2026) In order to support the healing process of his severe tendon injury
suffered in La Coruna in December Tinka's Boy underwent surgery. The operation
on 7th January at the horse clinic Sudenhof in Hagen near Osnabrueck proceeded
without problems. From the beginning of February Tinka's Boy will go into
aquatraining.
This way the stallion remains fit
without
puttig strain on his injured
tendon in the left front leg. It
will
also spareTinka's Boy
to
be
kept
several
months in his box. His stay at the horse clinic willprobably be during
three
months. A
first
prognosis
regarding
the healing processis
expected
by
the
end
of
February. Markus Fuchs hopes to have Tinka's Boy
back under the saddle
within
six months.
Three
wins at CSI La Coruna - Tinkas' Boy injured
(20.12.2025) CSI La Coruna - the last show of 2004 - was symbolic for
Markus
Fuchs' whole season. It was characterized by extreme ups and downs. In
Spain
he won two competitions with Royal Charmer, on Granie V he was a class
of his
own in a further competition. Bad luck struck in the Grand Prix (prize
money of
200'000 Euro) when Markus Fuchs had to give up because of an injury of
Tinka's
Boy. Leading the class with the fastest clear round in the initial round
Tinka's Boy
stumbled after the fourth fence in the jump-off. Veterinary examinations
in
La Coruna showed that the stallion suffered a stress fracture on
his
left front
leg. Unfortunately they proved to be wrong - further examinations
in Switzerland
made evident that Tinka's Boy suffered a severe tendon
injury. He will have to
be kept in his box for several months in order
to obtain recovery.
Markus Fuchs wins Swiss Owner's Trophy
(18.12.2025) Markus Fuchs and Tinka's Boy won - for the fifth consecutive
time - the Swiss Owner's Trophy for Stéfanie Wagishauser. Markus
Fuchs'
top crack gained a prize money of 322'922 Swiss Francs between 1st October
2003 and 30th September 2004. With the stallion he won the Grand Prix'
of
Aachen and Paris-Jardy and was third at the World Cup Finals in Milan.
Like in
last year Markus Fuchs also was second in the Trophy, this time with La
Toya III
who carried him to victory in the Grand Prix of Ascona. The fabulous mare
won
a prize money of 182'645 Swiss Francs for owner Adolfo Juri.

details
(16.12.2025) In November Tinka's Boy was selected breeding stallion in
the
Swiss National Stud in Avenches. The 15 year old stallion was given an
excellent

most
successful show-jumpers. The distribution of Tinka's Boy's frozen semen

Unlucky mission at CSI Geneva
(13.12.2025) Again Markus Fuchs had no luck competing in the Top Ten Final.
He did take part in every four finals, but again he did not match his
best result
so far from 2001 (6th). With Granie V he had three fences down in the
first
heat. Thanks to a faultless second heat he secured 7th place after all.
"In
equestrianism one experiences suprises again and again. Geneva definitely
was not my show." In the World Cup qualifyer Markus Fuchs missed
the
jump-off with Tinka's Boy because they had one fault in the initial round.
"The stallion jumped very well, but at the red fence out of the last
corner he
had a short blackout." Maybe in the future Markus Fuchs should not
keep his
horses in stable 13 in Geneva...
2nd place in the Grand Prix of Belfast
(6.12.2025) It was worth the trip to Ireland for Markus Fuchs: On Royal
Charmer
he became second in the Grand Prix of Belfast. With the Irish
gelding - who
replaced his mare La Toya III (suffering from fever) - the
Swiss qualified for
the winning round where he remained faultless again.
A little faster was his
fellow countryman Daniel Etter on Hermine d'Auzay.
With this result Markus Fuchs
- currently seventh in the world ranking
- earned 20000 Pounds and some more
valuable ranking points.
Markus Fuchs will compete in Top Ten Final
(28.11.2025) Thanks to many good results in November Markus Fuchs made
it into the final of the world’s best ten riders which will take
place on 11th
December in Geneva. Markus Fuchs was placed eleventh in the world ranking
at the end of October. Competing in Vienna, Brussels, Stuttgart and Paris-
Versailles he collected enough ranking points to regain a position in
the
Top Ten. In Paris only he earned 150 points because of a fine victory
with
La Toya III - with this fabulous mare he also was 5th in the Grand Prix
- and
several other top results with Royal Charmer and Narcossa Z. „All
my horses
jumped really well, they will travel on directly to Belfast now“,
said a happy
Markus Fuchs, who was the most successful rider of the event.
Top Ten Final is the goal
(15.11.2025) On 11th December the lucrative final of the world’s
best ten
riders will take place in Geneva. The FEI world ranking of 29th November
will
decide the participating field. Markus Fuchs was placed eleventh in the
world
ranking at the end of October. Competing in Vienna, Brussels, Stuttgart
and
Paris-Versailles in November he tries to gain as many ranking points as
possible in order to make it into the Top Ten field. His chances are good,
because he has to defend only 22,5 points this month, and his direct
competitors a lot more. „My horses are fit and going well, I hope
to be
successful enough to make it“, says Markus Fuchs. And he knows:
„Being in
the Top Ten is very important, also regarding invitations to the coming
World Cup events.“
Tinka’s Boy becomes breeding stallion
(27.10.2025) As from January 2005 Markus Fuchs’ top horse Tinka’s
Boy will
become a breeding stallion. Breeding selection will take place mid-November
in Avenches/Switzerland. Born in Holland in 1989 this chestnut stallion
is one of
the most successful show-jumpers in the world. He has quality, toughness
and
character. From the white mare Cosima, formerly ridden by Markus Fuchs,
Tinka’s Boy already has two promising foals in Switzerland. The
first filly -
Tinka’s Girl - was born in May 2003. More information to follow
soon.
Markus Fuchs wins R.I.D.E.-challenge in Paris
Jardy
(26.9.2026) In Paris-Jardy Markus Fuchs won the Grand Prix with Tinka's
Boy,
and together with his other horses La Toya III and Royal Charmer as well
the
R.I.D.E.-challenge - an accumulating points competition over six
rounds with a
total prize-money of 350'000 EUR. With two victories and three top-ten
results
Markus Fuchs confirmed once again his class and the quality of his three
horses
in action.

Quiet October for Markus Fuchs
(25.10.2025) In October Markus Fuchs for once changed back one gear. After
the CSI Kuala Lumpur he spent a ten days beach holiday with his wife Maya
at
the Malaysian East coast where he mad the best of it to re-charge his
batteries.
At CS Wiesendangen - almost on his doorstep - Markus Fuchs
took part in two
national MII-competitions, before he will take up again the usual weekly
shows’
rhythm at CSI Affalterbach from 29. - 31. October.
